It is fashionable among politicians, academics, top businessmen and media pundits to refer to the modern world as  a ‘global village’.  The term is inherently nonsensical, since what  characterises a village is its relative isolation, small size and  close-knit community .

But what lies behind this  cosy terminology is the assertion that  modern communications technology,much easier travelling, international business linkages and common  environmental concerns are all pushing us inexorably towards‘one world’ politics and  ultimate world government.    On this view, therefore, the nation-state is no longer a viable entity, since its frontiers must finally surrender to the completely free movement of  peoples from and to any country of their choice, governed only by personal  advantage  and preference.           Meanwhile, economic migrants, real and self-styled refugees and  all the ‘underprivileged’ of  the  earth  will continue flooding into the Western world , and  without serious opposition from  governments  pledged to liberal , multi-racial and  internationalist  doctrines .   This commitment  to multi-racialism, together with the  limitless numbers of would-be immigrants, can have only one outcome , namely, the  final obliteration of  all those features which have distinguished  Western civilization .  It must follow that  if  all races  will have equal status everywhere, countries would only be defined by arbitrary geographical  boundaries.      The notion that ‘race doesn’t matter’ is  now an article of faith among   dedicated internationalists, who see themselves as enlightened and visionary sophisticates with a duty to compel everybody else to submit to what they themselves describe as  ‘moral imperatives’ and ‘historic inevitabilities’ ( like Marxism used to be ) .  Any opponents  are at once  classified as ‘fascist reactionaries’ ; that is to say, as people with no viable alternative and who can only  react against these ‘inevitabilities’ with mindless bigotry .

This liberal consensus is the common platform of all  inter-party bickering  nowadays and  is  certainly taken as read in most media discussions of national and international  affairs ; indeed, any dissenting public figure or mass media employee is likely to be hounded from office within days .    Not conscience  but the ruling orthodoxy makes cowards of them all in  the mass media and  Establishment  hierarchies.              

In this brave new world of liberal imagining it is clear that anything resembling evangelism or discrimination of any  kind has to be suppressed as  socially divisive and disruptive  of that ‘multicultural harmony’ which  must be given precedence over all other  considerations.

Unfortunately for such ideologues, finite resources and increasingly cramped living-space in the most habitable parts of the world  make  some form of competition quite inevitable; and this invariably  aligns itself with particular  racial  or religious  groups.   Churches, mosques, temples and synagogues cannot occupy the same ground . Likewise , different  ideologies, secular or religious, cannot  be accorded equal esteem  in any educational system or other social  activity  without doing violence to  someone’s  most cherished  beliefs and  ideals.

It is, for example, the conviction  of  devout  Christians and Muslims  that  their particular creed is uniquely  capable of unifying all the peoples of the planet, regardless of  race, language or traditional culture . 

It is also axiomatic that a common language is the  cement which holds any viable society together; so what happens when(as, for example, in California nowadays)alien minorities demand parity of their native tongues with  the language of the host country ?

And how does a  ‘representative’  government  make  enforceable laws which run counter to the  fundamental beliefs of  sizeable and  perhaps  influential  minorities ?

Appeals to the democratic majority  won’t help at all ; it is ,after all, the aim of any  dynamic minority to  expand its sphere of influence and  recruitment campaign , come what may .

All the evidence of  nature and history  points to the fact that  man is at  bottom a territorial animal, needing above all things a  homeland in which to establish his  identity, find adequate scope for self-fulfilment and enjoy security of tenure . And  all of these things  must  necessarily be  achieved at the expense of competitors  for the same living space.

The ‘multi-cultural society’ is therefore an oxymoron ,  for to the extent that it is multi-cultural  it ceases to be a society in any meaningful or worthwhile sense and becomes no more than a diversely-populated zone.  It is already clear enough that  once the alien influx  achieves preponderance in the ‘host’ country , it  at once sets about  replacing the laws, values, traditions and institutions of that country  with others of  its own  preference .    Consequently, all the liberal  mantras like compromise,  consensus, mutual tolerance and cooperation will  be drowned in an alien clamour .     Such, in the words of that  great Englishman, Enoch Powell, is  the  nature  and significance of the ‘alien wedge aimed at the heart  of  our society’.

This lamentable state  of  affairs  could only  be  countenanced and encouraged by individuals lacking  any  abiding faith in or compelling loyalty  to the  character, history, traditions and  values of  their  kinfolk      In the ceaseless  war for national survival  they are indeed the real ‘enemy within’, enjoying all the benefits of citizenship while  conspiring  or at least aquiescing in  policies inimical to the  nation’s survival  as a uniquely recognizable entity .

Their  ‘liberal’ protestations are no more than  camouflage for  their own ‘value-free’ morality,  promiscuous opportunism  and  personal advantage .   On their political platform  all  races and creeds  and cultures reduce without  distinction to nothing more than election-fodder ;  so of course they  must  be seen to espouse multi-racism and  attack  any manifestation of  genuine nationalism  as  ‘racist bigotry’ .   Indeed, in  the twisted logic of  such  unprincipled demagogues, those who stoutly  insist on maintaining the  character and integrity of their homeland  are to be persecuted with all the self-righteous zeal ordinarily  directed towards  this country’s  external enemies .  

We live in very strange times.  During the last war  we  sacrificed some 55,000  airmen in bombing raids against  German towns and cities which killed hundreds of thousands of  civilians  while making  little real impact on the  German people’s  resistance.

Even so, these sacrifices and  atrocities were  represented  as a  price worth  paying  to defend this country against  foreign invasion.   We are now undergoing a  foreign invasion, however  peaceful .  Our corrupt  politicians are busily preparing the ground for  Balkan-type  conflicts in a hitherto  peaceful  United Kingdom.  They  have learned nothing from the  African and Asian holocausts they  precipitated in the name of  self-determination  and freedom from colonial government ,  ignoring  centuries of inter-tribal  and inter-religious rivalry . They  have  learned nothing from  the inevitable collapse of artificial  ‘nations’ cobbled together  by diktat;  from the ‘Irish Problem’, the former USSR, Yugoslavia, India/Pakistan/Bangladesh / Punjab/Kashmir ; from  Israeli/Arab conflicts .    Like  besotted  latter-day Frankensteins, they  persist in  creating monsters in the  grotesque conceit that they can create something  at least as good as if not better than its  disparate parts .  Witnessing the  horrifying consequences of their  own liberal folly , they  look everywhere else for scapegoats  and demand punitive action against  those  they target as ‘racist  bigots’ ,  ‘war criminals’  and  - irony of ironies - as ‘genocidal’ .   Meanwhile  we had better  confront the fact  that  it is actually  the genocidal  import  of  the liberal consensus  which  poses the greatest threat to national stability , civilization and international relations .
